Leading People the Black Belt Way: The Gestalt of Embodied Leadership Technology

frankjerome@sbcglobal.net leadership strategies.  Here's a description:

Everyone who intervenes in any system is a leader. No matter how you lead others--as a therapist, coach, healthcare professional, supervisor, or consultant--great leadership begins with the body. Come discover the gestalt of embodied leadership technology (ELT), a new bodymind approach to leading people based on Gestalt principles and the revolutionary non-violent martial art of Aikido. Through gentle movement, didactics and dialogue, you will walk away with simple and effective strategies for improving your intervention style.

While ELT is perfect for yoga practitioners, martial artists, and dancers, this strategy works equally well for anyone with a body. Everyone attending this workshop will receive a complimentary copy of Leading People the Black Belt Way. Please wear comfortable clothes for simple, gentle movement.

Ethics: The Values of Connection

This workshop at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland focuses on understanding ethics for today's global community. Here's the description:

Much more than an obligation to protect our clients' rights, ethics is better understood as the very fabric that underpins and supports our most basic efforts in working with clients and interacting with others in our everyday lives. Through didactic presentation and experiential exercises, we will derive a set of field-informed ethics from Gestalt Theory and its lens that clarifies how the roles of shame and belonging impact ethical human interaction and development. Finally, we will review the ethics established by the major therapeutic disciplines and explore how the Gestalt process informs these sets of ethics.
