Black Belt Speaker to Keynote First Ever Tri-County Meeting of Society for Human Resource Management

Akron, OH --- June 8 --- With over 560 chapters around the United States and around the world, the Society for Human Resource Management (S.H.R.M.) is the world’s largest organization devoted to that all important resource in the workplace: people. For the first time ever, the Akron (Ohio) area S.H.R.M. chapter will join forces with the chapters from Stark and Portage County for their June chapter meeting to hear keynote speaker Timothy Warneka present on “Black Belt Coaching for H.R. Professionals.”

“All three chapters are excited to be hosting their first-ever joint Chapter meeting presented by well-know leadership coach Tim Warneka,” said Robert Rakoci, Vice President and Program Chair of the Akron S.H.R.M. Chapter. Warneka, co-author of the new book, The Way of Leading People: Unlocking Your Integral Leadership Skills with the Tao Te Ching is presenting on coaching strategies that combine Emotional Intelligence with Japanese martial art of Aikido.

Warneka has presented keynote speeches to associations, organizations and educational institutions around the country. Holding a black belt in the non-violent martial art of Aikido and an advanced degree in psychology, Warneka incorporates what he describes as “the wisdom of the body” into every keynote speech that he gives. “Many keynote speakers just talk at their audience,” says Warneka. “I engage my audience by providing them with an actual embodied experience.” Warneka is the president of the Cleveland, Ohio based Black Belt Consulting Group.

Warneka is also the author of Leading People the Black Belt Way: Conquering the Five Core Problems Facing Leaders Today, his first book describing his approach to leadership. Warneka has also written Healing Katrina: Volunteering in Post-Hurricane Mississippi, which describes his disaster relief experience following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

The Tri-County SHRM meeting will be held at Raintree Country Club in Uniontown, Ohio.
